Privacy Policy

The Black Menu Bar app collects nothing. This website uses analytics and a contact form, described below.

The app

Black Menu Bar, the macOS app, collects, stores and sends no personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code in it.

The app has no network access. It never connects to the developer, to Apple or to anyone else, so nothing about you or your Mac leaves your computer through it.

What the app stores

One value: whether the black menu bar is switched on or off. It is kept on your Mac, so the app can restore your choice the next time it opens. It is never sent anywhere.

This website

blackmenubar.app is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page you open. Cloudflare handles this data under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

This website uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. It sets analytics cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google: the pages you view, browser and device details, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google processes this data under Google's privacy policy. Blocking these cookies or scripts in your browser does not affect how the site works.

The contact form

The contact form sends your message, your email address and, if you enter it, your name to the developer as an email. They are used only to reply to you and are not shared with anyone.

Before a message is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the sender is not a bot. It runs in your browser and may send technical signals such as your IP address and browser details to Cloudflare, which processes them under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Turnstile shows a checkbox only if the check needs it.
